Story
Baby Ella was with us for just 18 days but will never be forgotten. The gorgeous little daughter of Simon and Lucie Funnell became ill very quickly and although the doctors at both East Surrey and St Thomas' Evalina hospitals did everything they could to help her, she could not be saved. Ella had Group B Streptococcus which caused Meningitis. We hope that our support of Meningitis UK, together with that of our family and friends, will help to fund the development of a vaccine and raise awareness of this terrible condition. We would like to prevent families in the future losing children in this awful way and suffering the unbearable pain that we are living with.
